About
One developer in Cambridge, Ontario
I'm Jonathon Wager. Plaug Studios is the name I put on the games and tools I make, and for now it is just me.
What I'm working on
The main project is Avoria, a top-down action roguelite I'm building for Steam. You aim every shot yourself, hold out through the waves, break the seals that keep the boss door shut and then fight whatever is behind it. It isn't out yet, and the Steam page will go up before it is.
Alongside it I build smaller things that one person can finish and look after:
- Beamzag, a daily mirror-and-laser puzzle where every board has exactly one answer.
- Slideback, which turns old Photo Story 3 projects into MP4 files without uploading them anywhere.
- FrameDB, a list of which Steam games run standalone on the Steam Frame, and the Frame-Ready Kit, which sets up a Godot project for it.
- Wager Extensions, three browser extensions for exporting playlists and bookmarks and for clearing cookies.
How I run it
Being one person means the code, the support email and the updates all come from the same place. If you write about a bug, I'm the one who reads it and the one who fixes it.
Where something costs money, it's a one-time price, not a subscription. The browser tools do their work on your own computer: Slideback never uploads your project, and the extensions have no server of their own.
